Dr. Allan Lipton is a Professor of Medicine, Division of Hematology and Oncology at Penn State Cancer Center.
He has an expertise in the treatment of solid tumors, especially breast and prostate cancer. 

He was instrumental in the development of aromatase inhibitors to treat breast cancer. In recent years he has been an international
leader in the treatment of bone metastases. He was the first in this country to treat patients with Pamidronate and the first in the world to treat bone metastases patients with Denosumab. 

Dr. Lipton has maintained a laboratory at the MS Hershey Medical Center for 45 years. His current focus is on biomarkers to predict response to therapy and clinical outcomes.
